The elegant, refreshing, and sustainably produced wine we’ve chosen from Chignin, France takes the highly sought after Jacquere varietal to new heights. This approachable and refreshing white is perfect for Spring time!

Alongside the glorious Los Patos River in San Juan, Argentina, you’ll find the home of our next selection. 100% Moscatel Tinto, this beguiling wine is earthy with a hint of herbs, delicate, and bright with lifted aromatics.

STYLE: WHITE

VARIETAL: 100% Jacquere

AROMAS: Soft notes of white flowers and peach

MOUTH FEEL: Slightly weighty mid palate, finishes with a burst of lime and acidity

OVERALL: Elegant, approachable and refreshing

PAIRINGS: White fish, smoked trout fishcakes, tangy goat cheese or brie

ORIGINS: Benjamin Ravier works the vines according to HVE 3 standards of sustainability, committing to practices that allow for unadulterated expressions of Chignin. The vineyard is maintained to protect the integrity of the crop with rigorous attention and minimum phytosanitary products, as well as bare minimum additions of sulphur.

STYLE: RED

VINTAGE: 2022

VARIETAL: 100% Moscatel Tinto

AROMAS: Ripe raspberry and bing cherries with jasmine and lavender highlights

MOUTH FEEL: Light, bright with warm red fruit, medium acidity and light tannins

OVERALL: Earthy and slightly herbaceous, delicate with high toned aromatics

PAIRINGS: Roasted white meats, grilled salmon, pizza with red sauce

ORIGINS: Cara Sur produce wines from 80 year old vines of Moscatel, Moscatel Negro, Bonarda Piedmontese, and Criolla Chica. The vines are Parral trained, a ceiling-trellised system that provides shade and maximizes airflow. The vineyard sits alongside the Los Patos River on stony soil at 1500 meters above sea level. The Cara Sur wines are made in a tiny winery next to Pancho and Nuria’s home where they produce small quantities with minimal intervention.
